A truly beautiful and useful app for anyone that appreciates or needs to know when and where the sun and moon are at any time now or in the future (btw, its not just for photographers). It has the ability to predict the liklihood of a beautiful sunrise and sunset with an additional app called Skyfire which works inside this app.

This is the best available program for planning a photography trip that ever used. My fellow outdoor photography consistently recommend the program. It easily allows for the timing and direction of sunrises and sunsets, and additional evaluates terrain from specific locations indicating which landmark geological features and subjects will be visible.

A wonderful app with a lot of information packed into it. Excellent.

Perfect app for allowing me to pre plan shots in relation to the sun and moon. you can plan months in advance and that is super handy.

Excellent for planning how and where and when to shoot the moon, sunrises, sunsets. More information than I will ever need! I dont buy a lot of apps but feel every photographer should have this one.

Pinpoint sunrise,sunset,moonrise,moonset from any point on the map with so many features Ill never use them all. But wouldnt shoot without it.

Amazingly useful tool for plotting landscape and celestial photography. If I had this before this weekend I would have had much better photos of the eclipse. Well also if there werent clouds halfway through but the app cant help with that. I expect to use this for every session outdoors going forward.

We use this extensively for our photographic shoots. Helps us plan our day before going to the location. Has great tools, plus terrific and detailed help file.

This application was a pleasure to using past. The reason provement the last one or two years Ive made it so complicated that it is difficult to use possible. The instructional material is extremely limited compounding the use of it. Even the new ad in application to evaluate sunrise and sunset gradations is so difficult to use, and lacks credible explanation, to make it a functional application. There are many other products that deliver sunset and sunrise information available for less cost and more simplicity especially with iPhone use. I wish I could give it a higher grade is deteriorated with technological improvements.

A great app. I use it all the time for my photography projects. It has helped me many times in planning my projects.

There is definitely a learning investment at first try. However, once my technique was refined it became a natural extension of my planning efforts. Ive used the app to setup for sunrises, sunsets, supermoons and Golden Hour water reflections. A collateral benefit has been getting extra sleep on mornings that didnt hold sufficient promise for dragging myself out in the field. When used in conjunction with Skyfire it almost feels like cheating.

Im a landscape photographer and I am completely hooked on TPE and Skyfire!!! I check Skyfire every day sometimes twice a day and it is consistently, at least 90% of the time, correct on its forecast.. TPE and Skyfire are a must have for anyone shooting outdoors...

This is one of those rare apps that gives you MORE than you expect, not less. I cant even tell you how much time it has saved me, plus getting me more psyched to go out and take great sunset/moonset photos. It interfaces with Google maps to give you driving and/or walking directions for the perfect place to grab a photo. Best app of its kind hands down.

The power of this app cannot be overstated. Details of sun and moon position from any point on the map, with various map types no less (street, topo, etc.). Wonderfully designed and a pleasure to use.
